Last weekend, I made a quick visit to St. Paul. A short but fun visit with my brother and his family. Somehow I managed to miss my flight, a first for me. A full but fun day. We hung art, watched construction equipment (nephew favorite thing) and enjoyed an evening down on the Mississippi. Weather was perfect.
At the airport and going through security. Big lines but moved pretty quick and smoothly. Still kinda odd to not have security check in on the lower level, South side.

Progress. On the train to the gate.

Sadly, when I got to my gate, the plane was taxing out. Just missed it! A United Club was conveniently right next to my gate. So walked over and asked agents about options. They booked me on the next available flight, no charge. After just spent time at the airport. Grabbed a burger and beer for lunch, then hung out till flight.

Finally made it to St. Paul. Good to be with brother and his fam:).

Helped hang artwork for an upcoming show with my Brother and nephew Friday morning. The churches in St. Paul really support the arts.

Some of my brothers work.

After getting the show up, we made a return visit to a restaurant from last year. One of the best Gyros I’ve had. This year was no exception.
While eating nephew (3) was majorly distracted by all the construction going on outside as they were re paving the street. Brother told me they spent three hours one day watching construction equipment. Nephew knows all the names of the machines. The skid steer is his favorite.

That afternoon, brother and I took a drive down at the river, with the main goal of getting nephew to sleep. So I took a moment and enjoyed the confluence of the Missippi and Missouri Rivers.

Looking back towards St. Paul.

Back at the house, I took a break and headed over to the local brewery. Bad Weather Brewery for the win.

That evening, we headed down to the Mississippi for a picnic. On the way passed through my brothers favorite park, the oldest in St. Paul; Irvine Park.

Down at the Mississippi. High bridge in the distance.

Back through Irvine Park.

A commission my brother has been working o for over a year. Almost finished.

Saturday, before my flight, took a morning stroll over the high bridge. Beautiful morning.

A beautiful morning overlooking St. Paul.

Back in Denver.
