Henry Mountains, Summer 2009

After finally exploring the Henry Mountains during the 2008 “Outlaws Run”, I felt a need to continue to get back and further explore this remote mountain range in southeastern UT. Located just outside Hanksville, UT, the Henry’s were the last mountain range to be discovered and placed on a map of the US. First discovered by Major Powell in 1869.

I headed back to the Henry’s in the summer of 2009 over the 4th of July Holiday. This ended up being a solo trip, but a might enjoyable one. Didn’t explore to much of the small mountain range, but had a fun time while there. Being that it was on the 4th of July holiday, I made sure to come back to Hanksville, UT to check out there celebration. Fun times indeed!

And ten years after doing my first solo run to the Henry Mountains, starting to feel the urge to get back to this wonderful place…..:)
