Rowdy Lake, August 2020

I originally had the first week in August of 2020 set aside to go visit moms family in Seattle. But as things settled to a new normal with Covid-19, we all decided it was best to hold off on the get together.

Knowing I still had the time off with work, I set out to explore some places closer to home. Ever since picking up my current 3rd gen runner, I’ve been wanting to get back to Rowdy Lake. So decided to spend a night there on my way to go visit friends at Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers. Really felt good to get back to this wonderful spot. There were a few other folks out enjoying the lake but come evening time I had the place to myself. A most relaxing night! The next morning, on my way back out to Highway 50, spotted a young Brown Bear about two miles from camp (sadly I was too slow with the camera).

A nice spot to camp close to the lake.

Rowdy Lake.

Such a great spot.

Was enjoying the Aspens.

Evening time bliss.

Probably my favorite image from the trip.

Morning views.

End.
