Ghost Town Run 2017. Act 2: Mosquito Lake, Bonanza Mill and the Otto Mears Toll Road

Woke up Sunday to a perfect morning.

Morning views of camp.

Flagstaff Mountain.

Morning dreams.

After packing up camp, we headed out to Mosquito Lake.

Mosquito Lake.

Enjoying a nice drive back towards Bonanza, CO.

We stopped to check out the Bonanza Mill.

The building was pretty well intact, and we were able to explore quite a bit of it.

This old wooden wheel was really neat.

Justin and Travis looking down on us from the upper level.

Just starting on the old Otto Mears toll road.

This section was pretty washed out (the creek ran right next to this part). Most everyone got through with out much trouble.

Daniel Linn ended up needing a tug from Treeroot.

Climbing higher up on the old toll road.

Most of the time we were in the trees, but had some good views during this stretch of road that opened up in the higher elevation.

Good view of Mt. Chipeta (12,853). Chief Ouray’s wife.

Near the end of the toll road.

Home bound on 285.

End.
