Last bit of Fall at the cabin

Crazy to think my last visit up to the cabin was in mid August. September seemed to be busy with treks down to New Mexico. I Headed up to the cabin after work this past Thursday for the night. Sure felt good to get back up there. The air was cool and most of the Aspens either done for the year or just past there peak. The Loggers are making great progress and currently just past the pond in the Upper Meadows. Friends joined me for the night, felt great to be back at the cabin hanging around the fireplace with good company.

Mt. Evans in the distance.

Great to be back at the cabin. We had the fireplace in the kitchen going- easier to keep warm. Good company filled the night.

My pal Dan and I staked out a good spot, with the thought that the sun would come up over the ridge. Seems though were still in summer mode as the sun rose above the ridge to the right of this pic- behind us as we were waiting for it to rise. We both had a good laugh.

Morning Light on Rosedale.

A post full moon setting.

Morning light on Indian Creek.

Logging operations in the Upper Meadows. Can’t wait to see what this place looks like next summer!

Indian Creek starting to freeze over.

A new view while coming back from the pond/Upper Meadows. Recent logging had opened up this fine Aspen stand. Still a bit of color hanging on.

Always a great view of Mt. Evans through the trees.
