Cruise Moab 2023

Another Cruise Moab is in the books:).

What a week! With Winter never seeming to end (one day at work the washer fluid started freezing) and endless dental visits, I was ready for the desert. With some possible engine work needed, I decided against bringing the 4runner and hopped in with my pal Matt for the beginning of the trip.

For our Pre Cruise Moab Wanderings, Tim got us a few nights in Devils Kitchen in Canyonlands. From there, we headed South into Ruin Park and Beef Basin. Spending another night at South Spring. Unfortunately, the main road out was still blocked by snow so we backed tracked through Canyonlands and E-Hill. For out last night, we’d find a nice spot overlooking the Abajo’s.

Back in Moab I picked up a rental Cadi from work. Took a drive up to Deadhorse Point State Park. Vendor Night was a success- thanks to everyone who bought a Cruise Moab poster! Friday I rode along with my pals from Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers for the Hells Revenge Run, always a good time:). Saturday ended up being another chill day, breakfast in town with a few pals before we headed into the La Sals to check out a friends ranch. Late nights around the campfire and lots of laughs with good friends. Such a great week!

A bit pic heavy, but here are some of my favorites:). Enjoy!

First night at camp always seems to be a good one. We stayed up till 3:30 in the am, good times.

Morning stroll around camp.

Fine views of the La Sals and Fisher Towers.

Heading West on dirt to get back to Highway 191.

At the trail head for E-Hill in Canyonlands NP. It’s been a few years for me. Per the new rules, we broke up into two groups of three.

  1. How are you related to the man I call Uncle Leon. He indeed was my great uncle and I also spent a hell of a lot of time on the ranch with my dad Robert Leon. Let me know man.
